What we have

Incubators create the optimal environment for fertilized eggs to develop into embryos and eventually hatch. They precisely control temperature, humidity, and air circulation.

Hatchers are used in the final stages of incubation. Eggs are transferred from the incubator to the hatcher a few days before they are due to hatch. Hatchers provide the ideal conditions for the chicks to emerge from their shells.

Incubator

Temperature Control:
- Essential for maintaining a consistent temperature, typically around 99.5°F (37.5°C).
- Digital thermostats provide precise temperature regulation.
Humidity Control:
- Maintains appropriate humidity levels, usually between 50-55% during incubation and 65-70% during hatching.
- Humidity is controlled using water pans or automatic humidifiers.
Ventilation:
- Ensures a steady supply of fresh air and the removal of carbon dioxide.
- Fans are often used in forced-air incubators to circulate air evenly.
Egg Turning Mechanism:
- Rotates eggs regularly to prevent the embryo from sticking to the shell.

Hatcher

Enhanced Humidity Control:
- Higher humidity levels (around 70-75%) to prevent the membranes inside the egg from drying out.
- Ensures chicks can break out of the shell without difficulty.

- Slightly lower than in incubators, typically around 98.5°F (36.9°C).
- Consistent temperature to support the final development stages.
